    This is the online portfolio of Laura Spires.

    I have been interested in photography for quite a number of years, my interest grew when I was bought a compact digital camera for my 16th birthday and since then I take my camera's wherever possible. I got my first DSLR (Nikon D50) about two and a half years ago when I became frustrated with automatic flash and slow shutter speeds when I was trying to photograph gigs. I decided it was time to spend some money on some equipment which would enhance my creativity. Buying that camera was possibly one of the best decisions I have ever made and recently I upgraded my kit to a Nikon D300 for something more sturdy and professional. Since buying my first DSLR I decided that photography was a direction I wanted to go in for my career. I shoot many subjects but music photography is a favourite.
